The hope of Christ heads for India in a shipping container

Christian Resources International sealed a large shipping container yesterday with tape, prayer, and lots of hope, reports MNN.

The Great Crate container is bound for a partner in India, and is full of gently-used resources like Bibles, Christian books, Sunday School materials, and tracts.

CRI's goal is to equip every man, woman and child with the Word of God. A Great Crate can go a long way toward assisting church planters and pastors in their ministry. A Crate is usually packed with between 2,000 and 4,000 pounds of Bibles.

These resources are most often sent to missionaries that CRI has determined are legitimate ministries and capable of handling the size of the Great Crate that is being sent to them.

Typically, a 20' or 40' Great Crate container will cost $10,900. This covers shipping and all overhead expenses incurred.

With these resources, a ministry team has the potential to reach hundreds of thousands with the hope of Christ. They're hoping to send more Great Crates all over the globe in 2011.
