I had an overwhelming sense tonight of how sacred the work is that we’re doing here in Togo.  I preached about the blood of Jesus for the forgiveness of sins and thousands responded to the message.  Then I talked about the obligation that we, who have been forgiven, have to extend forgiveness to others.  I saw how many wept as they prayed a prayer of forgiveness.  This is the Gospel that we preach; a Gospel of peace, forgiveness, repentance, restitution and love. Then I began to pray...

Another evangelistic campaign has just come to a climactic conclusion.  Tonight the field was teaming with people pressed into the limited venue with up to 8 people per square meter!  You may have noticed the stadium next to our field and wondered why we were not holding the meetings there.  The truth is that we could have filled that stadium nearly 4 times over with the crowd that was there just tonight! After preaching the Gospel and praying the prayer of salvation, we prayed for the...

Emotionalism: Can we really come with the message of deliverance, the Good News, crying out “The Lord is risen indeed!”, but add “don’t get excited; no emotionalism please!” “When the Lord turned against the captivity of Zion…then was our mouth filled with laughter and our tongue with singing.” I can understand the child’s prayer, “Lord, make all the bad people good, and the good people nice.”

We have just received word from our team in Nigeria that the total number of registered decision cards from the Gospel Campaign in Lokoja last week comes to 244,580! We are praising the Lord for another abundant harvest of souls and looking forward to our next campaign in Togo in less than 3-weeks.  Thank you for your ongoing prayers and financial support.  We are blessed and privileged to greet you in Jesus name back from Nairobi. We've just got back home last night after 14 hours of traveling by bus. We spent 4 days preaching in Nairobi, then we went to Vukhaweka, Uganda. We came back home not for long, we were leaving in a few hours to go to Tanzania for 5 days preaching rally at pastors seminar and Grace Revival meetings.  We were blessed to be in Uganda, the town we went was such a nice place, surrounded by mountains and lots of jungle...

We have just returned to Togo after 20 years!  Since the median age of the population in Togo is 19 this is clearly a whole new generation many of which will be hearing the Gospel for the first time. This morning we paid a courtesy visit to the State president who welcomed us with open arms.  Pastor Bonnke was able to pray with him privately and we are rejoicing at what the Lord has done.  Please see the attached picture of our visit. Tonight’s opening meeting in the capital city of Lome...

Our job is not to pamper Christians who already may feel too sorry for themselves. Our aim is to wake them up, not to give them a sedative. People need to come out of themselves and see again the needs of a dying world, which Jesus came to save. Agreed?

Just moments ago we returned from tonight’s meeting with joy.  Evangelist Bonnke preached about “The Adulterous Woman” and the very eager and hungry crowd was hanging on every word.  He told them that under the Law of Moses, that adulterous woman should have been stoned.  The reason that Jesus could pardon her is that he was already on his way to the cross where he would take her punishment and pay the price for her sin.  It was a powerful and holy moment when tens of thousands lifted...

If you see a man drowning you throw him a lifeline, and don't wait for a voice from heaven for a prompt. What kind of people are we if we wait for a call from God before we do what obviously needs to be done? Don’t wait for God! God waits for YOU! The Gospel must be preached.

What a joy it is to preach to the people here in Lome, Togo.  This is a preacher’s paradise!  The people are so hungry, so responsive and so attentive.  It is no wonder that Jesus responds to them with such wonderful miracles. A local worship pastor told us that one year ago he was singing and suddenly his voice was gone.  For the past year he has not been able to sing or speak, but tonight, he said that as the prayer for the sick he felt what he described as “a washing” on his throat and...

For evangelism there is no ‘right way’, only right principles, principles that can be drawn from the New Testament. The apostle Paul himself said “That I might by all means save some”. (1Cor 9,22)The test of what is ‘right’ is whether the Holy Spirit makes it His chariot.

You might think that to be an evangelist is a boring job. Preaching the Gospel over and over would seem to be a mundane assignment. But I have discovered that the more I preach it, the more I see it, and the more addicted I become to its beauty. It is the love story of all love stories. It is a story that has captured the human heart for 2,000 years in an unprecedented way. Napoleon said, “…Alexander, Caesar, Charlemagne and I myself have founded great empires; but upon what did these...

May 5th, 2007 As many of you know, we have just returned from the Islamic Republic of Pakistan where our latest Gospel Crusade was held in the city of Kamonki. The meetings were a tremendous success and we are still basking in the afterglow of all that God has done. We held four evening meetings and two morning pastors training conferences. A total of more than 38,000 people attended the evening meetings and upwards of 11,000 of them received Christ for the first time. This is a city...

May 26th, 2007 The meetings tonight were powerful and so refreshing for me personally. There was a sweet presence of the Holy Spirit and many salvations and notible miracles took place. ************************************************** Today is the first day of meetings here in Belo Horizonte and God is moving in a mighty way. The people are so fired up and responsive…it was a wonderful crowd to speak to. We are looking forward to powerful things tonight at the Crusade in Jesus...

July 1st, 2007 I am sitting in the airport in the Indian city of Chennai at 4:06 am (local time) on Sunday morning (July 1st) waiting for a flight that leaves in a couple of hours. We have been traveling for about 2 straight days now! We have’nt even arrived in Madarai yet and already the trip has been quite eventful. Our plane out of Tampa was a couple hours late and then we sat on the runway for about an hour and a half. Our flight from London to Mumbai was caught in a terrible storm and...

July 2nd, 2007 I am sitting now in a small tribal village half way up a mountain in south India. We drove through the night on winding, narrow roads to reach the top of the mountain and then began hiking down to the village at about 6:00 am. As the sun began to rise we found ourselves in a little paradise. Neatly groomed acres of tea plantations covered the mountainside as far as the eye could see and clouds covered the peaks of misty mountains in the background. We stopped for tea in a...

July 5th, 2007 We are now just hours away from the official start of the Crusade here in Madurai, India. Everything is in place and after many months of preparation we are finally ready. Today we visited the largest Hindu temple in Madurai, “The City of Temples” and one of the largest in the world. This city is known as a Hindu stronghold, but in the darkness, the light of the Gospel will be all the brighter. We then visited an orphange and loved on the children. Every one of our hearts...

July 13th, 2007 I am now back in the US and reflecting on our trip to Madurai, India. My Spirit is refreshed and eager, but my body is recovering and taking its time. It was an exciting and extremely grueling trip with our team ministering more than 24 times in only five days at schools, orphanages, the Leaders Conference and a Women’s Conference in addition to the nightly mass Evangelistic Gospel Crusades. My blogging slacked off once we were in the heat of the fray for lack of time and...

August 30th, 2007 If I had one word to describe the people of Kabba, Nigeria it would be, “Hungry”. This past week I had the privilege of ministering with Reinhard Bonnke at a Great Gospel Crusade in this North-Central Nigerian city. Holding these meetings in Nigeria’s rainy season was a risk, but one worth taking for the sake of thousands of salvations. Kabba is a very small place in the middle of what seems to be nowhere, but the people came from miles around each night and stood for...
